HopeKids is the children’s ministry of Hope Community Church. It is a safe, fun, purposeful place for kids (infants to 8th grade) to worship together and learn about God. We are confident that your children will have a great time and meet new friends!
We meet Sunday mornings at Wilson K-8 School from 10:00-11:15. Children may be checked-in for childcare and Sunday school beginning at 9:45.
What to expect on your visit
As a visitor or guest, you will enter the lobby at the south end of the building. Our HopeKids check-in table will be located on the south side of the lobby. Our children’s ministry staff can be easily identified by our HopeKids name badges. Any of us will be glad to assist you!
At the check-in table, we will ask for your child’s name, your cell phone number and any food allergies, medical conditions or special instructions for your child. We will only use your cell phone number to contact you during the service if necessary. After your child is checked-in, we will direct you and your child to the appropriate classroom and introduce you to his/her teacher. You are welcome to remain with your child in the classroom, if you so desire.
Please be sure to label your children’s belongings especially diaper bags and sippy cups. We have blank labels and clips available if you need them.
You will pick up your children at their classrooms after the service. Only parents and guardians are permitted to pick up children. Those in 4th-8th grade will be released on their own at the end of the service.
It is our priority to keep your children safe and secure in our programs. Our classrooms are monitored throughout the service to ensure the safety of our children.
To avoid the spread of illness, we ask that you do not bring your children to Sunday school if they are sick. They should not come if they have a fever, matter in their eyes, frequent coughing, runny nose (anything but clear discharge), or any other symptoms that may be contagious.
We will notify you by text if your child is injured or becomes ill during the service.
Our classrooms are staffed with a minimum of two leaders. All our adult leaders have been screened through an application process and criminal background check. Each classroom is staffed with at least one adult leader. We also have youth leaders (middle and high school students) who assist in some of our classrooms. All our children’s ministry leaders are regular attenders of Hope Community Church and trained for their positions. They all have a heart for serving children and sharing God’s Word. We are confident that your children will love our children’s ministry leaders!
If you are interested in serving in children’s ministry, please inquire at the HopeKids table.
Several of our kids have food allergies. Please do not let your children bring any foods containing nuts (peanuts or tree nuts) into their classrooms. We would love for your family to join us for doughnuts prior to the service (9:30 to 10:00), but we ask that your children do not bring doughnuts into the classrooms.
We provide a snack of Goldfish or Cheerios. Please let the check-in team and your children’s teachers know if they have any food restrictions.
