Stick To It!

Hey Hope, this year we set a goal to memorize 52 verses for the 52 weeks of 2026.  Some of you are probably doing great – others maybe, not so much!  Let me encourage you, no matter where you are, just jump in for this present week and go from there.  You can use notecards to stay on top of old ones.  I have a notebook where I force myself to try to recite 20 times the first day, 15 times the second day, 10 times the third day, 5 times the fourth day, and then just once a day after that (or at least once in a while! 😊).

These sorts of things have a cumulative effect on our closeness with the Lord and our sanctification.  You probably won’t feel anything different just by memorizing one verse, but if you get many verses under your belt, you will start to see how God is using those truths in you and through you to others.
Here are some encouragements from the Scriptures to memorize and think deeply about the Scriptures.

Joshua 1:8 (NIV)
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Psalm 119:11 (NIV)
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

Proverbs 3:1-2 (NIV)
“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.”

Colossians 3:16 (NIV)
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”

Deuteronomy 11:18 (NIV)
“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.”

It is a joy to grow spiritually in COMMUNITY with all of you!
~Pastor Randy

Don't Miss This Powerful Conference!

Our Women’s Ministry is bringing in nationally known speaker and apologist, Megan Almon, for a powerful and timely conference on Saturday, April 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Community Room.

Megan is widely recognized as a learned Bible scholar whose particular message resonates with young women and teens.

Megan will explore in session one, “The Bankruptcy of Moral Relativism", the many contrasts between a Biblical worldview and a cultural one. In session 2, “Beauty the Art of War”, Megan will present how the concept of beauty has been corrupted and exploited in today’s world and how young women can cast off the bondage of pursuing this perverted version of what God has deemed beautiful and absolute.

This is a DON’T MISS opportunity for moms, grandparents and teens to become Biblically literate and spiritually empowered to live in the light of God’s good plan for true beauty.

Bob & Merrillee Whren, Directors

We recently have had sermons about being involved and participating in the various groups at Hope. The seniors were blessed by an invitation from the youth ministry. Led by Rudy, one of our elders, the youth made an exceptional Italian meal for both the seniors and the youth. There was great interaction between the seniors and the youth as each table had a group of seniors and youth. The night was filled with fellowship and time honoring God in worship songs. We experienced one of the purposes of Hope Community Church: “Grow in Community”
I encourage you to take advantage of being involved in the various groups of Hope and experience the wonderful fellowship.

Interested in our Seniors' Ministry?  Contact Bob Whren at bwhren@gmail.com.

Our goal is to grow a community of support and encouragement for all families at Hope Community Church who wish to educate their students at home.  All are welcome to participate in the activities regardless of what type of school they attend. Children that are not school age are also welcome.

For more details and information on this group, please contact Bre McCabe at bmambros@gmail.com.

AccessHope exists to ensure that every person may be welcomed and included in the body of Christ; having access to the teaching of God’s Word, participating in collective worship, and engaging in serving one another for the glory of God.

The AccessHope Ministry is going through some changes.  If you are in need of some support from this ministry, please contact Gina at info@hopetucson.com and she will get you in touch with the right person to help you.

If you have any questions regarding the information in the newsletter, please contact us.
