Offer HOPE. Grow in COMMUNITY. Be the CHURCH.

Welcome!

On Sunday mornings, we go through entire books of the Bible. We believe that every part of God’s Word is powerful and relevant to teach us more about God and help us get to know him better.

Don’t get too dressed up. We are casual at Hope. Our major desire is that God gets a hold of our hearts. Our three purposes as a church are to:

offer HOPE, grow in COMMUNITY and be the CHURCH.

We play a bunch. We go to the park as a church for cornhole, frisbee, barbecues and to hang out as families.

Our church loves to provide ways for the entire family – young and old – to serve together. We have renovated camps, built homes, painted speed bumps, and look forward to what we may possibly do together next.
Jesus told us to take care of the orphans and widows. Hope tries to be doers and not hearers of this command by buying goats, sponsoring orphan months, building fish farms, etc.

Hope was planted in January of 2011 and God has blessed us abundantly. We are a part of the Evangelical Free Church of America. We put a big priority on Children’s and Youth Ministry. Believing that God’s Word and God’s people can produce some amazing life changes, we also strongly encourage home groups. Come and join us some Sunday. We look forward to meeting you.

What Should I Expect?

Here are some of the things to expect on a Sunday morning at Hope. Don't see your question answered? Let us know!

Parking

After you find a parking space, look for our Hope banners and enter in the doors nearest the banners.

Meet the Pastor

Following the service, please take a moment and meet Pastor Randy Brainard on the patio. Pastor Randy would love to greet you.

Middle and High School

If you have middle school or high school students, they are welcome to attend any of our services with you.  We do not provide a separate Sunday morning program for our middle or high school, but we do have a Sunday evening program for both middle schoolers and high schoolers called HOPEYOUTH.  Our Youth ministry is led by Pastor Kevin Mason (youth@hopetucson.com).

Children

We take seriously our responsibility for and commitment to the children that are entrusted to the volunteer staff of our HOPEKIDS program. Each staff person is screened and trained to provide a positive experience for your child. Nursery through 3rd grade children are cared for during the entire service. Don’t forget to pick up your children immediately following the service.

Next Steps!

There are many opportunities to take the next step at Hope.  Stop by Hope Central on Sunday mornings, or check out various ministry pages on this Hope website.

And don't forget to check out the Hope Mobile App! It is a great central place where you can catch up on events, services, and Hope Community Church resources.

Two other opportunities to keep in mind are:

NEW TO HOPE LUNCH
Three to four times during the year Pastor Randy, Staff and the Elders of Hope Community host a complementary lunch where all newcomers are invited to come, meet the Staff and hear about Hope Community Church.  Contact us now to get the date on the next New to Hope Lunch.

Home Groups

Our church family is built on relationships that occur through our Home Groups.  This is the best and quickest place to connect with other adults and families. It is our hope that every individual or family get connected in a Hope Home Group.
If you have been coming for a few weeks and would like to get plugged in,  you can stop by Hope Central in the lobby or use the contact form below to get in touch today!

You can also head on over to our Home Groups page for more info.

PURPOSE

Offer Hope

One of our desires as a church is to reach out into our community and our world and bring the hope that is only found in Christ! We want to share the gospel both in our words and in our actions.

"Jesus answered,
'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' "
- John 14:6

Grow in Community

An important purpose of Hope is to see people grow in community. We desire to be a relational body of families that encourage each other in loving relationships – a body that serves together. Our Home Groups dive into each week’s sermon to try to apply God’s truth to their lives and grow closer to Christ and each other. In addition, we have several opportunities each year for families to gather and serve together.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
- Hebrews 10:24-25

Be the Church

God calls us to not only be “hearers” of the Word, but “doers” also. Therefore, at Hope, our desire is to answer God’s call to love others deeply. We believe God’s Word calls us to care about the orphan and widow, the hungry and naked, the sick and the least. God has blessed us to be a blessing to others.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
- James 1:27
