The Importance of Church
At the end of June, our Mini-Conference was centered around the importance of the church family to our walk with Christ. In my study of this topic, I read how one church encourages new members…
I promise that if they show up consistently (in our church that means corporate worship on Sunday and home group on Wednesday) and seek to care for others, they will get everything they want out of the church. That could be spiritual growth, friendships, biblical knowledge, or practical help. They will get whatever they want from the church by fulfilling just those two simple tasks.
If you don’t participate regularly, you don’t get the formative experience of church. You don’t grow in Biblical knowledge through the teaching or in relational depth through praying with others. And if you don’t seek the good of others, you learn to judge the church for how it fails to meet your needs and how others fail to reach out to you.
What a great encouragement that if we just show up consistently and seek to care for others, God will bring blessing into our life through His chosen instrument to edify us – His Church.
In the coming two months, we are kicking off two new home groups. Some reading this need to contact Pastor Gary and give home groups a try this semester. As always, there are many opportunities at Hope to show-up, care for one another, and serve together. We have a Mini-Conference on July 26 about living a lifestyle of evangelism. These Mini-Conferences are great training, but also great relational opportunities as well. We also have a Women’s Camp August 23-24. These two upcoming events are both incredible opportunities to “grow in COMMUNITY”. Finally, make it a goal for your family as the new school year starts up – show up consistently for church Sunday morning, for youth events, and seek the good of others!

Women's Worship Night - led by Katie Arellano
Friday, September from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Why does evangelism often feel so hard? Wouldn’t it be nice if Jesus left us with a clear example of what it looks like to actively live out the Great Commission in our everyday lives?
Good news…He did!
God has strategically and supernaturally placed 8 to 15 people in your front row — your oikos — and has given you a responsibility to intentionally pursue them.
At this mini conference, gain the tools and a fresh perspective of what it looks like to live on mission and lead more people to Jesus!

Our Key Passage This Month:
“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” (Isaiah 6:5)
Beginning 7/27:
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding." (Ephesians 1:7-8)

Why does sin separate us from God? Because God is holy, sin has broken our relationship with God.
Beginning 7/27:
What is grace? Grace is when God gives us something good even when we do not deserve it.
