A Devoted Building Committee
A team of Hopers have been working behind the scenes through regular meetings, careful review of plans, and thoughtful coordination with church leadership and project partners. This is our Hope Building Committee. They have a shared desire to see the project move forward in a way that honors God, serves our church family well, and supports the ministry vision for years to come: Offer HOPE, grow in COMMUNITY, and be the CHURCH. We have so many people serving at Hope in ministries, landscaping, cooking, caring, but I want to focus on this building committee for just a moment.
I was listening to one of the guys share that he had worked his entire life and did not have a lot of opportunity to serve the Lord with his skills. He doesn’t want to be paid but just looks forward to helping in any and every way he can for several hours per week. Another guy shared about his desire to engage with all those who work on the property with encouragement and Friday lunches. He also is looking forward to communicating with all our adjacent neighbors so that they can be heard and so that Hope can do our best to be great neighbors. Another guy is regularly driving across town, getting quotes and printing plans. These guys are all servants that just want to bless this body and honor God with their skills. Listening to them almost brought me to tears. I’m so excited God has brought this team together at such a time as this.
As progress continues, we are grateful for their time, wisdom, and willingness to serve. Please continue to pray for the committee and for the Lord’s guidance in each next step as we move ahead together. Any questions, concerns, or desires to help, contact the team at building@hopetucson.com.

Hello Hope Family!
Thank you for all your help with our Emerald Crossing VBS! We appreciate all your prayers, donations, and time. It was a great week learning about Jesus, our great shepherd and we couldn’t have pulled it off without your help. The kids raised $1,756.12 for the Kosovo mission's trip. The Pastors had to dye their hair green if the kids raised over $1,500.00. Way to go kids! Please pray for the kids and the seeds that were planted. May the kids use what they learned and apply it to their lives.
Wishing you a refreshing summer!
~Lynne

What We’re Learning:
June 7 (Family Sunday): God Can Always be Trusted; Jeremiah 31
June 14: Esther Saved Her People; Esther
June 21: Nehemiah Rebuilt the Walls; Nehemiah 1-7
June 28: Ezra Read the Law; Ezra 7-10, Nehemiah 8
Our Key Verse This Month:
2 Corinthians 7:10, “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death”.
Big Picture Question:
How should we feel when we sin? When we sin, we should feel sorry that we have disobeyed God and want to turn from our sin because we love Him.
