Fisher Of Men

Jesus meets Peter on the shores of the Lake of Gennesaret and performs a miraculous catch of fish so overwhelming that the boats nearly sink, bringing home His power in a way Peter had never experienced before. Confronted with Jesus’ holiness—much like Isaiah’s cry of unworthiness—Peter sees his own sin and is transformed, reminding us that becoming “fishers of men” begins with our response to God’s grace: recognizing our sin, being astonished by Christ, and embracing His love. Jesus then calls every believer to join His mission to make disciples of all nations, a task sustained by His promise to be with us always.
