Christian Wisdom 9.7.2025
This sermon explores Christian wisdom through Proverbs 8:32–36 and emphasizes three essential steps to becoming truly wise from a biblical perspective:
1) Have a personal relationship with Jesus – Wisdom begins with knowing Christ, who is wisdom personified (1 Cor. 1:30). True life, blessing, and salvation are found in Him alone (John 10:10).
2) Know Jesus’ principles found in Scripture – Wisdom requires studying God’s Word diligently. Like any discipline, the Christian life is built on understanding and following biblical truth (Matt. 7:24–27).
3) Apply these principles to all areas of life with the help of the Holy Spirit – Knowledge alone isn't enough; wisdom means applying God’s truth to all areas of life - relationships, finances, thought life, etc. - by relying on the Holy Spirit's help.
The sermon contrasts the two paths in Proverbs: the way of wisdom that leads to life, and the way of folly that leads to destruction. It closes by encouraging believers to build their lives on Jesus’ teachings, trusting the Spirit to guide them toward a full and fruitful life in Christ.
