Ambassadors Church

We exist to glorify God by multiplying transformational churches among all people.
  • Mission Statement of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA)

Healthy things multiply, they reproduce, they bear fruit.  I have both a tomato plant and a nectarine tree at home that have done none of these things, never multiplied, reproduced themselves, or bore fruit.  The EFCA (which is the association of churches we are part of) has made this idea their focused purpose statement – “to multiply transformational churches among all people.”

In John 15:8, Jesus said: “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”  What a sweet truth!  We bring glory to God by bearing fruit for His Kingdom through making Christ followers and seeing churches multiplied among all peoples.

Practically speaking, this includes raising up leaders/pastors who can preach the Word to others.  Paul told his main regional leader, Timothy (whom he considered a spiritual son), “You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”  (2 Timothy 2:1-2).  In other words, Timothy was called to multiply faithful men to be pastors/teachers and start new outreaches and churches in other locations.

This month, by God’s amazing grace, Hope has helped multiply a new transformational church, Ambassadors Church.  September 11 is the first official service for this young church. Let us thank God for what He has done and let us pray for this new body of believers.  Pray for Pastor Dave Collins as he strengthens the body through the Word and raises up faithful men who will be able to teach others also - continuing to plant churches to all people everywhere.

The work is not done for Hope either.  Let us all, young and old, male and female, continue to offer HOPE, grow in COMMUNITY, and be the CHURCH so that we might see even more fruit and continue to multiply transformational churches among all people.

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”  (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Women's Camp 2022 was amazing.  We had a great time of fellowship and teaching!

Our outreach for Saturday, September 10 is being rescheduled and reformatted to meet an urgent need at the Casa Paloma Women’s Center.

The center has a current and ongoing need for pre-made lunches to distribute to women who are, in greater number than ever, seeking assistance.
The center has seen a huge rise of young women living on the streets of Tucson and needing help. Therefore, in lieu of waiting to gather on September 10, we are requesting donations of peanut butter, jelly, lunch size chips, individually wrapped cookies or granola bars and cases of water to distribute to the center.  A weekly donation of bread will be purchased by Women’s Ministry and dropped off at the center as well.

Donations will be accepted immediately and through the month of September. You can bring your items on Sunday mornings or you can drop items off at the church office, Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon (3130 W. Overton Road).

Again, please note that we will not be gathering on September 10 but we will serving together throughout the month!

Please join us on Saturday, October 8 for our annual Missionary-Focused Outreach Craft Day!

Ambassadors Church

September 11 is the Launch date for public services at Ambassadors Church! We are so thankful and excited. God has done a lot of great work since we started meeting on May 1.
It's so cool to think that Hope started as a church plant over a decade ago with the vision to plant more churches. We have talked and thought and prayed much throughout the years to that end and we are now doing it! Jesus is building His church and the gates of hell will not stand against it! It's a step of faith for all of us and I believe God is and will continue to bless our efforts.
Remember, we should view this not as a divorce, but as us marrying our adult children off. There is some uncomfortability and some loss and there is much excitement as we see God's Kingdom advanced.
Thank you for your love and support. Please keep praying for us!
Go get ‘em!  Pastor Dave

Hello, Hope!

I would like to invite you all to our Fall Fest 2022 at our property! On Saturday, October 1, we will have bouncy houses, fall crafts, and s’mores. This is not just an event for families with young children; gather your friends and family and swing by any time from 5:00-8:30 p.m.  Dinner won’t be provided but feel free to bring your own if you’d like to “picnic” here with other families. We look forward to seeing you in attendance! If you are an adult who would be willing to help monitor the fire pit for s’mores, I’d love to hear from you. You can email me at kckelly@hopetucson.com or Gina at info@hopetucson.com.

I’m praying for your families as you return to school and regular routines! Much love to you all!
~Kyria

Remember, every third Saturday of the month is our Men's Breakfast at 7:30 a.m.  We will have it this month (September 17) in our Community Room.  Also, mark your calendars for October 20-22nd for our Men’s Camp on Mt. Lemmon!
Love serving with each of you!

Every Saturday is Bible study at the HopeHouse at 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

We had a great time at our Young Adults Camp in August.  Here are some testimonies from the camp:

“Camp was a wonderful experience where I felt growth in my relationship with God, created some prayer habits I’ve been using since and made friendships or grew closer in the ones I already had. I also loved the cooler rainy weather the whole time.” ~Kate Ewing

"I am encouraged to see the work that God is doing in the lives of those around me in the young adult community. It's so important as young adults that we surround ourselves with others as the body of Christ, to both support and encourage each other in our times of need and questioning. Events like this camp have helped me know that I am not alone in my journey of faith, but rather, I am surrounded by people just like me who both have questions and hope for the future."
~Garrett Hesselink

“Young adults camp was an amazing experience! It was a great opportunity to meet new friends as well as grow in relationship with those friends I had already. Being away from technology and close to God up in the mountains was also such a blessing. Between the good food and the hikes, it was a solid way to cap off the summer.”
~Robert Kelly

“I had an incredible time on the mountain at young adults camp! I was blessed to see God growing our community—we were brought closer with shared fun experiences, were challenged by Kevin’s truth-filled messages, and encouraged by God’s work in one another in the sharing of our testimonies. The great conversations I had all throughout the trip sparked deeper connections with my peers and are excellent starting points for journeying into the Word together to seek God’s truth. I can’t wait to see all that God will do through the sweet relationships and scripture he planted in our hearts up at camp.”

God is good! In recent weeks we have been blessed to see lots of new faces, and we are excited to see what God is going to do over the coming school year.
Sunday, September 4, we are going to have another family night! Unlike the last time we will not be doing a dinner this go around. Family night will be a great time for parents and siblings of kids in our youth group to come along and join in a time of fellowship, worship, and encouraging each other as we pursue the youth of our church and growing in our faith! Praying for you all.
In the Dust of His feet,
Canon
